El Paso is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around El Paso is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The worst experience for any sick person. We have been here over 3 hrs with my very sick sister , who is 72 yrs old in horrible excruciating pain on her foot, she is diabetes & has an infected ulcer down to the born. Her lab wor & x-rays have been done . We are out in the lobby & she is in so much pain she is bent forward from it. Sitting in a wheel chair that does not have foot rests . She came in with a Dr's referral & still she can't be taken to a room because, there's none available! I wonder if a patient has to die to be admitted & than they can charge for a room. I wonder if they are charging the insurance for the stay at the lobby! Someone needs to report this cruelty & i think its going to be me.

You get good care from the emergency room when you need theur services the most. But... They have a questionable practice used to get the attention of less conscious patients--they use their fist's most prominent knuckle to cause pain at the sternum. This looks cruel to patient family standing by, and leaves ugly bruises as a reminder. They need to find a better way to get a patient's attention.
